Seoul Day 1 - 30th Dec

Well, we actually arrived on late night 29 Dec, but went straight to hotel to sleep..

Before blogging ahead, this trip is sth unique, we joined WxxxOx Tour since there was a staff offer for CX/KA staff, which was quite a good deal so we went for it....well, wont be doing it again!

All in all, the trip was nice, but the guides are....well, can only say they try their best in doing what they were asked to do, cant blame them too much but we just dont like it...

Think its better to travel on our own :P well, maybe still valid until we have kids!

ok, Day 1 is skiing. I think officially, we have given up on skiing, as we really dont find interest in this sport. Never been able to enjoy it, so, we went to the skiiing resort, we ate, hiked a bit, bowled a bit and ate again... but no skiing!

Kim Chi and Pork Hotpot, (rating *****) Highly recommend!

After a BBQ dinner, we went back to the hotel, (btw, this Co-op Residence hotel in Yangpyeong is really crap! other things we can accept but the room is freaking cold!)

though we did not ski, was tired and morning call for the next day is again 0630, so ....better zzzzzzz

Seoul Day 2 - Last day of 2006

In general, Day 2 is quite good...

Well, after a bad breakfast (again, can be considered as "decent" in a sense its a package tour that we are joining), we head straight to Lotte world, well, my favourite itinery of any trip is always theme parks!

Had 4 hours and we played 15 rides, was quite ok and queues were not long. Recommended ride would be Atlantis, Gyro Swing and Gyro drop (a nice view of Seoul from 70m above then free fall...)

Then its to COEX Mall for shopping :) Some meals in this tour are self-paid (self-paid = quality food!), like yesterday at ski resort, a golden chance again and we had a nice Omlette rice for lunch

(rating ****)

We then went to the presidents house, took a pic then leave. Actually the royal palace is also right there but entrance is NOT included.....anyway....Kodak moment...

Then we went to this Kim Chi school to learn how to make kim chi. Its a healthy food and we had some fun in learning how to wrap the vegi....then we got a chance to wear Korean traditional costumes.

Then shopping time at a Cosmetic shop ...

Dinner was the tour-included "special meal" of duck.....really CRAP!!!!!

Really wanted to go out to countdown, but tour guide strongly recommended us NOT to as it will be crowded, there will be NO MTR and Taxi.....well, we did not want to take the risk, though we are sure we will have no problem in getting back to the hotel....countdown in room is also fun, its all about whom you are with ;p

Tokyo Day 4
For Day 4, we had only one objective, is to have sushi and sashimi at the 築地 fish market.

We left our luggage at the locker then went straight to 築地 fish market.

We went to several restaurants to try different kinds of sushi and sashimi. Most of them are very nice.

This one was packed with ppl. cant go in.

This one we went in but the chef was very rude.... :(

Then almost time and we head to airport....after working for 5 yrs, finally eligible to travel on FCL....Cissy took some pics of the food on board :P

Tokyo Day 1

Arrive on a late flight, well, had to work in the morning...
Cissy wore the wrong shoes, so we were able to save a few bucks and took economy....watched Tokyo drift....ok la...

Already 8 something when landed, went directly to "大江戸温泉物語" (arrive already 2300)
ate some food, soak in onsen then sleep.

Tokyo Day 2

Very early next morning, after breakfast and onsen -> straight to Disneyland (Tokyo DisneySea)

It was 5th anniversary of the park and the park was already filled with X'mas Celebration. Below are some quite points i am leaving myself or fellow future visitors on how to "conquer" the park"
- Do Homework in advance
- If you are the 1st lot to enter the park, get to the expected longest queuing game, which is the "tower of terror" for disney sea for now..
- If not, do not waste your fast pass on the longest queing game, go there just after the parade or fireworks
- check out what games have height limits or warnings to elderly, shd be exciting and fun!
- utilise the feature: single rider
- ok, the follow games are recommended,
- and , the follow games are NOT recommended

After that, we went to check in our hotel in 池袋 http://www.theatres.co.jp/hotel/, again already midnight but this place is still so 旺, like mongkok.....casually went into a noodle place....the noodles are SO NICE!!! Best i have had for years. (Rating *****)

X marks the noodle place

Sleep now! tmr will be just wandering around a few places, will check out PS3 and Wii (just released!!!) and call Egg fai to see if he wants to buy.... well, of course shopping time for Cissy also :P
