一月"踏雪" 二月 "寻梅" - having gone thru the snow storm in Jan, we came to search for plum blossom at Xi Shan, located near Suzhou :)

元宵節 @ Shanghai

Unexpectedly, Yuan Xiao (Chinese Valantines Day) in Shanghai, is more significant than the 14th Feb, which is completely reversed in HK. In both cultures, we sort of celebrated both occasions with HK more emphasis on 14th Feb and Shanghai more emphasis on Yuan Xiao. In addition, Yuan Xiao does not only celebrate the romantic love, but also the family love.

Cissy and I went to Yu Yuan's Latern Festival, it was reported that 400,000 people went there.

Its supposed to be very nice......benefit of the doubt that it was really too crowded and busy for any cook to make anything work.....will give it a second chance some other day.
