Tokyo, Sapporo, Furano 17-21/7/2007 Day 1

This is a long due trip as i promised Cissy 4 years ago to take her to see lavender fields...it is difficult to get on CX flights as its the peak season, so after saving up Asia miles for nearly 3 yrs, finally able to redeem two tickets on JL to TYO->SPK and go to Furano!! Hope weather will be ok!

Arrived Tokyo Narita (Int'l) Airport first, its already 8pm...quicky took bus to Shinagawa 品川駅and checked in toyoko inn (think there is NO other choice now, cheap, clean, convenient, consistent service, easy to book, no deposit needed, free and fast internet, free breakfast...etc just cant beat this business model!!!) http://www.toyoko-inn.com/

品川 was recommended as its quite convenient. (well, the one in Shinjuku was full :P) Will take me only 20 mintes to get to Haneda (domestic) airport. Lots of restaurants, shops and stores nearby. If up for more entertainment, there is even an aquarium and cinema. A great choice to stay if you are going to Tokyo -> other domestic cities thru Hanada airport.

Though its already 10pm, cant miss the chance to explore Japanese food! Stopped by a small sushi shop opposite to Shinagawa station 品川駅...


Really really fresh ****! There are only 10 seats, and constantly packed with people. Best thing is the chef was very kind and polite (click here for the bad experience in 築地)! Great start!

Passed by Mcdonald's, Mega Teriyaki Burger.......um.....well, what the hell!

Ok, Back to hotel. Will go to Sightsee around Mount Fuji tomorrow!
